The Informatics graduate:
- Is capable of designing strategies in an organization to detect and satisfy organizational needs relative to the use of information, through the creation, administration and maintenance of the services and systems of integrated, efficient information processes.
- Selects and utilizes, in the optimum way, emerging and current computational tools.
- Is trained to design and install computer networks, as well as administrate computational resources for the transmission and process of data, distributed in an efficient manner.
- Observes and develops the fulfillment of provisions of a legal character related to the Informatics function.
- Applies rules and quality standards in the practice of the Informatics function.
- Has the capacity to carry out postgraduate studies in national or foreign institutions in fields of information processing, software engineering, computer networks, artificial intelligence and other related fields.

- Information fields in both the public and private sector.
- In the national and international field, developing functions like analysis, design, implementation and auditing of information systems and networks, advice in the technical field and informative legislation and re-creation of possible scenarios in the development of the organization.
